Every February I get the opportunity to road trip up to Ucluelet, BC with a crew of my closest friends. It's a magical four days of relaxation, prayer and community time.
It's with this trip I'd like to kick off a new series ... my top three! Sporadically, I'll be profiling my top three of whatever I feel like. And to kick start, here are my top three places/things/shout outs for the weekend.

The Cabins at Terrace Beach are absolutely magical. They're snuggled into a cove in Ucluelet that is surrounded by the Pacific Ocean. We usually stay in the Port & Starboard cabins, and it's exactly like going to Oma & Opa's cottage. (Am I the only one who has vivid summer memories of summer's with Oma & Opa?). The cabins are nothing modern, but they're perfect for hanging out and enjoying life with friends.
There's an amazing lodge that boasts a great room. We used it for community time, and a small dance party. Personally I recommend it for sipping coffee and watching the waves roll in.
My favourites: the two minute walk to the ocean & the bathtubs in Starboard 7,8 and the lodge rooms. Seriously, bring your bath bombs.

CARAVAN IS MY FAVOURITE! Sorry for yelling, but if you've visited it, you'd feel the same.
It's a teeny-tiny shop in Tofino that somehow manages to fit so much warmth and goodies within its walls. Jen, the owner, is amazing. She'll make you feel like you've been friends for years, even if you're stepping in the shop for the first time.
Recommendation: buy someone you love a birthday gift from here (and then get yourself a treat too). Oh, and the candles are amazing (& locally made).

Usually we make all our food in the cabins, but this year we were treated to a meal at Shelter. Man, it was amazing! The atmosphere is incredibly cool (but doesn't make you feel out of place if you show up in jeans & a tee like I did). Soda water was amazing (sorry I don't have any wine reviews, friends).
My favourite: The Tofino Bowl. Pure goodness in a hip bowl, plus it's probably healthy (right?). My eavesdropping also tells me that the burger is good, but you didn't hear that from me.
